The history of the Apostolidis Group begins in 1955, when Christos Apostolidis became active in the production and sale of electrical energy in the Municipality of Amphipolis, laying the foundations for a dynamic development in the field of lighting and electrical equipment.

In 1964, the first 45 m² retail store was opened in Serres, while in 1981, with the transition to the second generation, Apostolos Apostolidis led the company into a new phase of growth, relocating it to a larger 150 m² store in the city center.

The year 1990 marked a turning point, with the establishment of the commercial company APOSTOLIDIS S.A and the acquisition of a 2,900 m² showroom and warehouse facilities in Serres. A few years later, in 1993, a factory for the production of industrial and street lighting was founded, strengthening the Group’s manufacturing capacity. The development continued in 2000 with the creation of APOSTOLIDIS S.A., expanding activities into the import of lighting fixtures, while in 2002 a state-of-the-art 1,900 m² production and warehouse facility was built in the industrial area of Serres.

In 2007, a significant expansion of logistics infrastructure by 3,900 sq.m. took place, marking another important step in the company’s development.

The year 2014 was a landmark year, marked by the establishment of a 1,300 m². branch in Attica and the launch of the ACA Lighting and ACA Energy brands, broadening the portfolio of products and solutions. In 2015, the historic store in the center of Serres was modernized and renamed “To Ilektromagazo” (“The Electrical Store”), while the Diolamp lamp brand was also introduced.

International expansion began dynamically in 2016 with the establishment of ACA Lighting Apostolidis Group and the creation of a subsidiary company in Bulgaria, accompanied by new logistics facilities and showroom spaces. In the same year, the ACA Decor indoor lighting brand was also launched.

In 2017, the Group further invested in expertise with the creation of a state-of-the-art photometric laboratory and the expansion of logistics facilities by an additional 2,200 m², while 2018 was marked by its first participation in the international Light & Building exhibition in Frankfurt, strengthening its international presence.

In 2019, another important cycle of growth was completed with the acquisition of a new branch in Attica, which includes 3,000 m² of offices and logistics warehouses, as well as the creation of the ACA Elec brand in the electrical equipment sector and ACA XMAS in the Christmas decorations sector.
